RDJ Refugee Center

Welcome to the RDJ Refugee Center! We are the only shelter in New York City specifically for asylum seekers and refugees. Explore our page for more info.

The RDJ Refugee Shelter is currently the only shelter in New York City specifically for asylum seekers and refugees. We provide 8 guests with a 6-month stay while they wait for asylum or for work authorization, and link them to the employment, legal, and language resources they need to thrive in their new home. In the last year alone we have provided assistance to 27 clients from 17 countries. Currently, we assist anywhere from 4 to 8 clients at one time. Explore our site and the rest of our page for more information on what we do, how to donate, and how to get involved!
