Last month in Paris, we were proud to celebrate the inaugural meeting of the Sciences Po International Council - a milestone in strengthening the university’s global engagement.

The first International Council convened distinguished supporters and Sciences Po alumni from New York, Boston, California, London, Santiago, Milan, Luxembourg, Zurich, and Geneva at the Saint-Thomas campus. Together with President Luis Vassy, faculty, and alumni, we engaged in substantive dialogue on climate change, AI governance, global education, and the university’s strategic future.

Highlights included:

• A masterclass by Professor Jonathan Levy on climate control and climate change, exploring the paradox between human comfort and environmental responsibility

• A wide-ranging discussion on AI governance and digital transformation, featuring faculty leadership, researchers, and student voices from the École de droit de Sciences Po

• An open conversation with President Vassy on maintaining French excellence through internationalization

• A fireside chat with Audrey Azoulay on culture, education, and the role of institutions like UNESCO in sustaining global dialogue

The International Council is more than a network, it is a community of engagement. Through intellectual exchange, philanthropy, and transatlantic partnership, members help ensure that what happens in Paris resonates globally.

We are honored to help deepen transatlantic ties and mobilize support for talented students and cutting-edge research tackling the world’s most pressing challenges.

We look forward to continuing this work and to welcoming new members to the 2027 Annual International Council Meeting!

Last week, we were delighted to welcome alumni and friends to our first Club 150 conversation of 2026 in NYC for an engaging discussion on the democratic paradox of judging presidents with Professor Eleonora Bottini.

The evening sparked thoughtful dialogue among attendees and highlighted once again the strength of the Sciences Po community in New York, bringing together alumni and guests around important global questions.

Thank you to Prof. Bottini for her insights, to Bill Haft and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP for hosting us, and to Alumni and friends who came out to join us!

On Thursday, January 22nd, we were delighted to kick off 2026 with our alumni at the Consulate of France in New York for our Galette des Rois Celebration. Surrounded by delicious galettes and great company, alumni gathered to reconnect, make new connections, and kick off the new year in true French tradition.

From lively conversations to the much-anticipated crowning of our lucky kings and queens of the evening, the night was a warm reminder of the strength and joy of the Sciences Po alumni community in NYC.
