We are deeply saddened by the passing of Junior Bridgeman, a visionary entrepreneur and media trailblazer who dedicated his life to uplifting Black voices. From his success as an NBA player to building a business empire, perhaps Bridgeman’s greatest impact came in 2020 when he acquired EBONY and JET, ensuring these iconic Black media brands continued to thrive in the digital age.

His commitment to Black storytelling, ownership, and excellence will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all those inspired by his legacy.
