As organizations navigate increasingly complex environmental accountability challenges, there is an opportunity to consider how legal support can be provided earlier and more strategically, including through legal risk assessment, evidence preservation, strategic advocacy, and identifying appropriate accountability pathways.

Join PILnet for an interactive session at the United Nations Development Programme - UNDP African Business and Human Rights Forum: Strengthening Legal Support for Community-Led Environmental Accountability.

We are bringing together practitioners across legal services, environmental justice, and civil society to explore how lawyers, civil society organizations, clearinghouses, and other intermediary actors can work together to provide more responsive legal support to communities facing environmental harm, particularly in politically and commercially sensitive contexts across Africa.

Two Roundtables. More opportunities to advance refugee rights through pro bono in Asia Pacific.

Due to an unprecedented number of pro bono project pitches received from refugee-led organisations (RLOs) and NGOs across the region, the 2026 Asia-Pacific Refugee Rights Pro Bono Pitching Roundtable is now expanding into two virtual events. This will give organisations more time to present their projects and connect with potential pro bono partners.

Join us to explore carefully scoped, organization-led opportunities across two areas:
📅 Wednesday, 30 September | Programmatic projects
Legal research, training, advocacy and legal assistance projects supporting displaced and stateless communities.
📅 Tuesday, 6 October | Operational support projects
Legal support on governance, compliance, contracts and organisational structures, helping organisations sustain and strengthen their work.
