Healer2Healer.org International Healing Exchange Healer2Healer also recognizes that indigenous healers are essentially small business owners and entrepreneurs.

Inspired by the commitment to learning and the resonance of holistic medicine in the indigenous communities, Healer2Healer began collaborating with organized indigenous women's groups in Guatemala to extend the reach of the training. The women's groups get training from Healer2Healer and then eventually pass on that training to other communities that Healer2Healer cannot reach directly, yet we per

ceive our efforts extending to geographic areas beyond our capacities to safely travel. With the skills that they receive from training, they are able to offer new services in their communities which can bring with it new economic opportunities. Healer2Healer's goal is that with guidance and support they will eventually operate independently and continue to transfer knowledge from community to community and generation to generation. Through the use of web- and laptop-technology, Healer2Healer will provide more training opportunities and an online community where indigenous healers, practitioners, and students can connect with each other to answer questions and provide on-going support and professional follow-up to solidify commitment and stewardship in communities we touch.

I learned alternate nostril breathing and breath of fire from a few classes I took at Swami Satchitananda’s Integral yoga Institute in Manhattan in 1970? Somehow, for some reason, they are still a part of my daily routine.

What would you like to know about ancestral Mayan medicine for boosting immunity?

On my trip to Guatemala, I met an extraordinary group of Mayan women healers. These lovely humans opened their hearts & homes to us, & together we treated hundred of people in our three day clinic. They continue to care for their community, with limited supplies & finances, all the while keeping in touch with us with simple "how are you"s & "we keep you in our thoughts".
Now, they need us. There is not enough money to buy food for the families in their community. An already impoverished area is struggling. They are willing to teach us their ancient wisdom, let us help them now. And give back. From Robin Knapp, H2H participant.
