"Yes, HISSIFIT is a modern twist on an ancient story: the tale of Medusa and her Gorgon sisters. But it's also the history of every punk rock band that sold out in search of fame and fortune—a story that can only be told in a crowded basement with loud guitars, pounding drums and what almost resembles a mosh pit. It's the version of Medusa that takes you back to the East Village in the 70s, with Athena and Aphrodite not as her punishers, but her teenage fan club! It's the version that more-than-nods to VH1's Behind the Music and calls to mind a bit of Eddie and the Cruisers.
