Hello friends! Adrian and I just wanted to reach out and say THAAAAAAANK YOOOOUUUUU to everyone who has made our first year a success. To think in December 2013 Adrian and I were still getting our New York legs underneath us while showing our first duet, Generate. Organize. Destroy. and a year later we have shown 4 new works at more than 10 venues to equal almost 20 performances...we are in very pleasant and satisfying shock. We took a month of rest in November and now we are back in research mode! Looking for opportunities to perform in more unique places, utilize a broader range of our abilities and disciplines, and connect with more of you amazing people along the way. Sum Bones raises a glass (and/or celebratory fist pump, and/or super mega battement) to you all who have supported us this past year. Love to you all in this magical time of year. Check out Adrian's latest Sum Bones drawing! Tomorrow marks Sum Bones' 1 year as an established non-profit company and we have just finished 2/3 shows of our Summer into Fall series so we figured it was a good time for a fresh new Sum bones logo. We will keep you all posted as it get's closer to the showing of "little u" directed by Tyler at this HALLOWEEN's White Wave Rising show.

Some of you may remember last winter when we premiered our first Sum Bones piece: Generate. Organize. Destroy. Well this weekend we are premiering our first collaborative piece since then! The piece is called "Solar Well" and features 5 of our beautiful company members as well as Adrian and I. Below is a video of some recent studio time in which Adrian and I revisit some old material in a completely new way and mixed in you will see bits of my newly crafted solo. Hi Friends and Allies! The premier of my new work Riptide is coming up! It's been my honor and pleasure to be a part of the inaugural Doug Varone Choreographic Devices Workshop. Our showing will be at the 92nd St Y on September 12th and 13th, there are 15 other EXTRAORDINARY choreographers participating in this process and I highly recommend that you come see their work. Check out this shot of the Cloudfox (Tyler) being very cloudfox-y shot by Tim Grey at Splashlight this past weekend. More photos from the shoot to come. In the mean time GET READY FOR SOME SHOW-DATES!!! Sum Bones will be showing Adrian's "Riptide" at the 92nd St Y on September 12th at 7:30 and the 13th at 3:00. This is part of the Doug Varone Choreographic program which has been an amazing experience for our company so we hope to see you there. Sum Bones will also be showing the colaborative piece, "Solar Well" at Triskelion the 26th and 28th at 7:30 pm. This will be a split bill performance with another company and will be the company's first co-directed ensemble work so don't miss it.
