Cooking for Caregiving

Cooking for Caregiving Caregiving is love & food is a big part of it. Recipes, tips & techniques that are more convenient & nutritionally specific, for caregivers & those who care.

The goal of Cooking for Caregiving is to develop best practices that incentivize caregivers to better fit the meals they serve to the nutritional needs of the people they care for, by increasing convenience and decreasing complexity at the same time. asing meals provided; and improving the nutrition awareness of caregivers and patients. We’ve already identified a number of strategies with strong potential. These include “cook ahead” meal preparation supported by online planning tools; cross-cultural recipe databases that support condition-specific recipe modification; flash freezing to “time shift” preparation; and right-sized containers for storage, delivery and serving to encourage correct portioning. We’re following a “participatory design” methodology which involves collaborating with community members; prototyping components of the process; optimizing through feedback; and widening the conversation as tools and methods improve.
