Angels For Animal Rights Angels for Animal Rights (AFAR) is an online resource devoted to educating the public about at risk animals. AFAR also runs local projects in NYC.

Angels for Animal Rights (AFAR) is a 501(c)(3) organization that is first and foremost “volunteer centric.” Our organization's model is rigid in quantifying results, but dynamic to allow for changes in the trends of social media and the regulatory climate. Our most important asset, human capital, depend on our volunteer’s skill sets. We believe by offering opportunities for “virtual volunteerism”,

and using social media as a tool, we will be able to maximize the results for those devoted to saving the lives of homeless animals and increase animal welfare issues the world over. Animal loving professionals in many fields have committed to contribute to this site in order to bring information that is relevant, helpful, encouraging and engaging to affect change for the betterment of our homeless animals. And as a resource for people who want to help improve and encourage the humane treatment of animals everywhere. Our hope is that through this website everyone will soon be learning, loving and living the cruelty-free way!

ANOTHER 120 animals safely extracted Today!!!

Tom and the team have successfully resupplied a shelter and evacuated 120 animals from the north of Kharkiv today.

You’ll all know the shelter as it was the shelter that was bombed twice in a matter of days.

Despite the shelter only been around 1km from the Russian frontline and bombardment happening in the area around them they got in and got the animals out safely.

Tom will put up a full post tomorrow because the team still has 10 hours of driving to do and I’m sure you’ll all appreciate how shattered they are.

240 animals extracted, 2100 miles driven and 4.5 tons of food delivered to keep the shelters going in just 48 hours!
