Block Beautification Days have arrived. We kicked off the season by planting between Amsterdam and Columbus on Saturday. The next Planting Day is May 20th! Please come out and join the fun! A great crew as always!

We made it through the second of four elections scheduled this year with Jerry Nadler retaining his Congressional seat in yesterday's vote. Next up is September 13, the primary for all 63 seats of the State Senate and all 150 seats of the State Assembly. West 75th Street is currently represented by Linda Rosenthal in the Assembly and Tom Duane in the NYS Senate.I don't know if they are being contested. If you have more information, please Comment!

The incumbent 10th District congressman handily won Tuesday's Democratic primary election.

Join us as we welcome the new 20th Police Precinct Commander, CO Levon Holley. He will be sharing steps to make our community safer.
Claudia DiSalvo and Lee Claus will be on hand to discuss the Museum of Natural History’s proposed new addition on the Columbus Avenue side of the museum, which has created some controversy as it will result in reduced park space and the loss of 10 ancient trees in the area.
Linda Rosenthal, State Assemblymember will discuss issues at the state level and Helen Rosenthal, Councilmember will share the participatory budget process, plastic bag legislation and other issues facing our community.

The 20th Precinct released its report on crime statistics for the year through Feb. 28 and there's good news. Crime is down by 15.3%! The most frequently committed crime in the neighborhood is grand larceny, followed by burglary.

The Precinct Captain will be at our General Meeting on Thursday, April 18 at the Manhattan Day School library on 75 St. b/w Riverside Drive and WEA, starting at 6:30 PM. All are welcome!

Block Blast 2015 on West 75th in NYC. Rockin the Block with the Narwals! Dancin' it up with Project Find. Still lots of bargains to be had at the yard sale. Great lunch by Pappardella Cucina and Viand Cafe.
