Transportation Alternatives Queens Volunteer Committee

Transportation Alternatives Queens Volunteer Committee TA's Queens Volunteer Committee is open to everyone who has an interest in biking, walking, and public transit in Queens.

The Transportation Alternatives Queens Volunteer Committee was founded in 2007. The goal of this volunteer effort is to seize on the recent surge in bicycling, street redesign and new park space to improve bicycling, walking and public transit conditions in Queens. We have activists and campaigns in all parts of Queens. We host numerous bike rides, social walks, and are active in our communities.

Our most well known accomplishment is the whole scale redesign of Queens Boulevard, now with protected bike lanes and safer crosswalks for all. The best place to follow up on our activities and cycling in Queens is at our monthly meeting. We meet every 2nd Tuesday of the Month in Jackson Heights. Easily accessible to mass transit from the 74th Street / Roosevelt Avenue E/F/M/R Subway Stop. Additionally:

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and organized to see this through!
