💘 Jaxson

Over a year ago in the overcrowded city shelter, Jaxson 222148 sat awaiting euthanasia. We were able to rescue him, thanks to an awesome foster stepping up, but after that his rescue road became quite bumpy, due to no fault of his own. After a few weeks of uncertainty, Jaxson finally found where he belongs. Thank you so much to his new dad for being there for Jaxson when he needed it most - and for sending such awesome adoption update pics! We are so happy to see these 2 together. Their happiness and bond is evident 😍🥰

Fulton is almost 3 years old, weighs about 50 lbs, and is dog selective (but used to being around other dogs), cats unknown. He is loving, affectionate, good on walks, and a wonderful, supportive companion. He knows what it's like to be lonely for a long time and will never let you feel that way.

‼️Rottie GEOFFREY was abandoned and needs a home‼️
Currently in 📍Gainesville, VA

Poor Geoffrey doesn't know what happened to his old life. All he knows is after almost 8 loyal years his previous "owners" dropped him off at daycare like they normally did....except this time, they never came back to pick him up.

Since then, he has waited for them every day. And now he only has a week to find somewhere to go.

Geoffrey is 8 years old and weighs about 90 lbs. He is neutered and up to date with his vaccines. He is good with cats and other dogs- he has been around small-medium dogs just fine! Geoffrey is a well-behaved good boy and he has proven that by being in a socialized daycare every day for months. He is great at meeting new people and new dogs, playing with both new and familiar dogs every day. Geoffrey can be bathed and have his nails trimmed with no issues - and looks super cute in the tub! 😍 A daycare is a great place to show what a good boy he is - but it is a facility, it isn't a home. And now he has a deadline.

We usually post dogs in need from NYC and throughout the northeast, but now we need the help of our more southern supporters. With a foster or adopter, we can rescue Geoffrey.

The staff that knows him can tell being in the facility every day and every night for all these months is starting to wear on him. In his pictures, we can see that lost sadness creeping into his eyes - the sadness of a senior dog whose memory of their own bed in a loving home is fading away 💔

Adoption Update: Figgy now known as Scooby!🖤

Back in May 2025, he was saved from the euthanasia list. Today, he is living the life every dog deserves, surrounded by love, comfort, and a family that absolutely adores him.

Scooby has settled beautifully into family life and has become exactly what we always hoped he would be, a cherished member of the family. His favorite thing in the world may be snuggling with his beloved fur sister, Ladybug.

The bond between these two is something special. Whether they’re curled up together on the couch, sharing the bed, grooming each other, or finding the coziest spot in the house for a nap, Scooby and Ladybug are rarely far apart. Looking at them now, it’s hard to imagine they were ever strangers.

Scooby is happy, safe, spoiled, and deeply loved. From cuddling with his mom to playing with Ladybug and enjoying every comfort of home, he has embraced the good life he fought so hard to find.

For dogs on euthanasia lists, all it takes is one person willing to give them a chance. Scooby got that chance, and his transformation is a beautiful reminder of why rescue matters.

Thank you to Scooby’s amazing mom, Renee for opening her heart and home to him. Seeing him thrive, love, and be loved is the happy ending we all dreamed of when he walked out of the shelter alive.

Here’s to many more years of cuddles, adventures, and making memories with your best friend, Ladybug.

Update: Charisma & Rocky Road ❤🐾

Charisma and Rocky Road have been keeping busy - they hang out with their foster dog siblings, go done the porch steps and for 2 mile walks, and most importantly perfected the mid-day snooze....on the same bed 💤💤❤ ❤

Thank you to their wonderful (and understandably tired) foster for doing such incredible work with them. She says their walks are "amazingly fun & tangly & just great to be out with these four". The progress these pups are making is tremendous - and they are doing so while feeling safe and very, very loved!

Adopt Marble! 🐾

Cairn/Yorkie terrier mix
~12 lbs.

Marble is an adorable but complicated little man. He loves fiercely and loves to kiss, kiss, and kiss you! 💋 He has a sweet comical little face and his bark is not much more than a squeak. While his bark is small, his appetite is big! He came into the shelter as a stray - although it is hard to believe this tiny guy survived even a day on the streets of NYC. He was pretty thin but is making up for it with gusto. He likes to chase around his little bouncy ball and will offer his belly for some tickles. He loves to go outside and for walkies. No matter what he is doing, he is so charming that you can't help but smile whenever you look at him!

Marble is fully vetted, neutered, micro chipped and ready to start his new life with you!

CASANOVA ☀
begins his fresh start!

A week ago, Casanova's fate was uncertain as he waited on the euthanasia list - until an amazing foster turned their life upside down to give this young dog the second chance he so desperately needed. After all he has been through, Casanova is now gently decompressing and learning the basics about being a dog. Having a yard to roam around and soak up all the sunshine sure helps!

Thank you so much to everyone who rallied for Casanova, thanks to our transporter who whisked him away to his new life on short notice, and the biggest THANKS to our foster who made his rescue possible and kept this handsome face in the world. ❤️

UPDATE: PROSPECTOR has been found!! Thank you everyone who shared him

Please help find this terrified dog. He was recently pulled from the ACC 💔
ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED!!

We are sad to report that Prospector from NYC is currently missing. He arrived at his foster in Brooklyn on Saturday night and during fireworks after the Knicks game he managed to scale an 8-foot chain link fence and escape. He is scared and unfamiliar with his foster family so he will likely not be easy to secure.

He has been reported missing to ACC, Petco Love Lost, Home Again Microchip Company, and the foster has been posting flyers all around her neighborhood.

We are asking that NO ONE go and look for him at this time as he is so scared. We are just posting for transparency.

Accidents happen and our foster has done everything right since he has been missing. We will be contacting tracking services as a next step and we are hopefully that Prospector will be found safe. Please keep him in your thoughts! 💕🐾
