Know the facts: About 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer during her lifetime, and more than 321,000 women are expected to be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2026. Breast cancer affects women across all racial and ethnic groups, although incidence, outcomes, access to screening, and mortality can vary significantly among communities.

Screening matters. Mammograms can detect breast cancer before symptoms appear, making awareness and access to screening important parts of early detection.

We celebrate our survivors, honor those we have lost, and thank the families, friends, caregivers, doctors, nurses, advocates, researchers, and supporters who stand alongside those impacted by breast cancer.

This October, wear PINK with purpose and join us for the NYBLACKMBA Pink Party on the Plaza in Harlem on Saturday, October 10 with a kickoff celebration on October 9.
