"Now, what we need to ask ourselves is: does the sense of ‘freedom’ we instinctively feel in life qualify as free will? And when we talk about free will, what, technically are we free from? In older eras, this might have referred to freedom from a higher power- the Greek Gods, the wrath of a Puritan god. But we don’t really discuss things in such terms nowadays, even though we still use the term ‘free will’. So what are we trying to be free from, when we feel this sense of 'freedom’?
