Combat a Cause Every year hundreds of thousands of Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, Officers, Cadets and Midshipmen attend a multitude of military schools.

Before attending such schools, like Basic Combat Training (boot camp) or Airborne School, Combat the Poverty will offer these outstanding men and women the opportunity to raise pledge money, much like a Walk-a-thon. However, instead of walking or running a predetermined distance, these service members will attend their military school. After course completion, Combat the Poverty will forward the p

ledge money to charity. Half of the pledge money will go to 501 (c) charities that specialize in eliminating poverty, and other half will go to any registered 501 (c) charity that the participating service man or woman decides to support.
