Call to Action ; your attendance is imperative your voice is needed in this moment as we call ourselves together to build a movement in the Adirondacks towards reparation for Black peoples.

Please join us at Craigardan on June the 24th at 5:00PM with a Pot Luck Dinner following a FREE DA LAND discussion and healing circle.

We'll come together in the spirit of the efforts towards Black self-determination that have taken place over time here in the Adirondacks -- from John Brown and the Timbuktu grantees, through the trust relationships of the Underground Rail Road, to the voices of Dr. Alice P Green, Eddie Ellis and the Black Liberation Movement.

Why H.O.L.L.A! Created this Freedom Summer Youth Organizing Training.

1. Build with Black /Afrikan youth from our community/family to connect them to the Black Liberation Movement

2. Bring youth from our communities together journey together in real relational ways

3. Share Pan Afrikan Organizing and Black Liberation Traditions to carry the legacy of our elders and ancestors.

How Our Lives Link Altogether! (H.O.L.L.A!) was founded and formally developed within the New York State prison system in the early 2000s without the permission and/or support of the prison administration.We create Pan-Afrikan-Organizing conditions that promote healthy development for Black youth to fight against and heal from THE WAR in NYC neighborhoods that her/historically feed over 75% of the New York State Prison system (Resurrection Study Group, 1997). The theoretical roots of our work are:
African Sacred Science, (Somé, 2000)
The Afrikan Maafa/The WAR, (Richards, 1981; Wesling, 1990)
The Non Traditional Approach to Criminal & Social Justice Issues (NTA) (Ellis, 1990 & White, 2021)
Healing Justice (HJ) (Page & Woodland, 2023).

To accomplish our mission, we have four core interventions:
1. Youth Development/Resurrection Training
2. Grassroots-Led Communications & Media Production
3. Ecological, Nature and Black Land
4. Healing Justice - Social Movement Building

H.O.L.L.A! creates programs and training to foster healthy cultural, social, and political development for New York City youth of color.
