Instead of protecting students, Mayor Mamdani used his veto power to shield those who intimidate and obstruct them from getting to campus. See our joint statement with Jewish communal partners ➡️

We're deeply disappointed by Mayor Mamdani’s decision to veto Intro 175, legislation that would require clear safety plans around schools.

We thank Speaker Julie Menin and Council Member Eric Dinowitz for their leadership and unwavering commitment to the safety of New Yorkers.

Tonight marks the start of , a day to commemorate the 6 million Jewish men, women and children who were murdered by the N***s and their collaborators during the Holocaust. It is a day when we uphold our duty to honor, to remember and to .

To remember and to never forget may sound redundant. But we distinguish between the two because it is not enough not to forget. That’s too passive.

81 years after the Holocaust, remembering must become an active effort.

At a panel discussion on the state of antisemitism in NYC, Associate Regional Director Tova Rosenfeld spoke about how Orthodox Jews are disproportionately targeted in violent antisemitic incidents and our essential work in Brooklyn.

If you experience or witness antisemitism - in Brooklyn or anywhere - please report it to us at adl.org/report-incident.

Thank you, Governor Kathy Hochul! We appreciate your leadership and agree: all New Yorkers deserve to pray free from harassment and fear. Take action today: urge New York legislators to include safe access protections for worshippers in the final budget here: https://action.adl.org/a/ny-safe-worship?sourceid=1082070.

Newly released NYPD data show 78 confirmed anti-Jewish hate crimes in the first quarter of 2026, nearly the same amount as the same period in 2025 (77). We remain concerned by this continued, elevated targeting of the Jewish community. We call upon all elected officials to prioritize fighting antisemitism and reverse this alarming trend. There is in NYC.

NYPD ANNOUNCES FEWEST MURDERS, SHOOTING INCIDENTS IN RECORDED HISTORY FOR FIRST THREE MONTHS OF THE YEAR

04/01/2026

Tonight, on the first night of Passover, Jews around the world will gather around the Seder table to retell the story of the Israelites’ liberation from slavery. Each and every year, we fulfill a unique command: “And you shall tell your children.”

We transform an ancient narrative into a present-day obligation — because the pursuit of freedom, and the fight against antisemitism and hate, are not confined to history.

From our ADL family to yours, we wish you a Happy Passover.
