ODFFU, Inc., established in 1946, is a New York not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the Four Freedoms through education, humanitarian assistance, civic engagement, and support for Ukraine’s democratic development. The ODFFU was formed on October 27, 1946 at a conference of representatives from various Ukrainian American organizations in New York City. Yevhen Liakhovych, an engineer by training and a Ukrainian patriot at heart, established the ODFFU to support the struggle for a free and independent Ukraine. Roosevelt's "Four Freedoms" speech before the US Congress on January 25, 1941. This speech formed the basis of a strategic partnership between the United States and Great Britain that became embodied in a declaration known as the Atlantic Charter. Following an extensive remodeling at the National Archives, President Roosevelt's speech sits alongside America's founding documents like the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. The ODFFU grew from a small group of dedicated individuals with one branch in the city of Newark, New Jersey, to a large national organization with over 57 branches located throughout the United States. In 1991, Ukraine declared its independence, sealing the fate of the Soviet Union and bringing about an end to the Cold War. In 2004, with the "Orange Revolution" Ukraine stepped onto the road to democracy. The ODFFU continues its work to ensure that the four freedoms are protected in Ukraine today.

UKRAINE'S UNEXPECTED SILVER LINING: MOSCOW GOES QUIET.

Ukraine struck three russian Yandex data centres between October 8 and 11, dealing a serious blow to Moscow's digital infrastructure just weeks before the November 3 U.S. midterm elections. The attacks disrupted major computing systems and online services across russia.

The impact was dramatic. Analysis of Cloudflare Radar data showed automated traffic from Yandex's network plunging by roughly 94% compared with September levels, at one point falling below 1% of its recent peak. Around the same time, social media users reported that accounts promoting pro-russian propaganda, pro-MAGA narratives, and Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) had become unusually quiet. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also commented on the apparent decline in hostile online activity.

Moscow has spent years using fake accounts and coordinated disinformation campaigns to exploit political divisions, undermine Western democracies, and weaken support for Ukraine. The Kremlin doesn't need to invent every controversy. It simply takes existing disagreements, pours fuel on the fire, and makes manufactured outrage look like genuine public opinion.

The Cloudflare figures measure automated Yandex traffic, including ordinary search-engine activity, rather than a verified collapse in propaganda bots. Nevertheless, the scale of the disruption and reports of quieter political accounts have renewed scrutiny of Moscow's online influence operations.

Ukraine struck back after russian attacks on its own digital infrastructure. The immediate result was a major disruption to Yandex's network. The unexpected silver lining is the attention these strikes have brought to Moscow's efforts to manipulate Western political debate just weeks before Americans vote.

Our elections belong to us, not the Kremlin. And Americans should be asking a much tougher question: How much of what passes for political debate on social media is actually Kremlin propaganda dressed up as American opinion?

The numbers tell the story......

American diesel prices stayed relatively stable while Ukraine was striking Russian oil refineries. Then the United States launched its military campaign against Iran in March 2026, and diesel prices shot up.

Now Washington is pressuring Ukraine to stop hitting Russian refineries while easing restrictions on Russian diesel exports.

How does that make sense?

Russia uses its oil revenues to pay for the missiles, drones, and weapons it uses to destroy Ukrainian cities and kill civilians. Ukraine is fighting for its survival and has every right to strike legitimate military targets that support Russia’s invasion.

Blaming Ukraine for America's fuel crisis ignores what the numbers show. Worse, it gives Moscow economic relief while tying Ukraine's hands.

The Organization for the Defense of Four Freedoms for Ukraine (ODFFU) stands firmly behind Ukraine's right to defend itself. Washington should be increasing pressure on Moscow, not making it harder for Ukraine to fight back.

Ukraine did not invade Russia. Russia invaded Ukraine.
