Today's : Gianna Petitto of the Savannah College of Art and Design, a 2026 FSF Scholar and the 2026 recipient of our Gloria Vanderbilt Scholarship, who spent her summer interning with One Jeanswear Group!

"Receiving the Gloria Vanderbilt Scholarship through the Fashion Scholarship Fund has been an incredible stepping stone in my career. Through the mentorship of Kirsten Lee, CMO at One Jeanswear Group, I had the opportunity to join the marketing team this summer under the guidance of Melanie Cohen-Nathan, VP of Marketing, and Johanna Fronek, Director of Marketing. Throughout my internship, I supported campaign shoots for Sofia Vergara and Gloria Vanderbilt, collaborated on wholesale marketing initiatives, and analyzed marketing strategies across leading fashion and denim brands to identify industry trends and consumer insights. I've learned more than I ever imagined in such a short time, and I'm incredibly grateful to FSF and OJG for investing in my growth and giving me the opportunity to build such a strong foundation for my future in fashion marketing. I can't wait to see what's next!"

"During my internship in New York City with Kurt Geiger, I gained hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the many aspects of marketing, from public relations and event coordination to social media and brand communication. I learned how these different areas work together to build brand awareness, engage consumers, and create meaningful experiences. Today’s : Megan Huffnagle, a 2025 and 2026 FSF Scholar from The Ohio State University who spent her summer with Victoria’s Secret!

“This summer, I had the opportunity to intern on the Brand Strategy team at Victoria’s Secret, where I contributed to the marketing strategy behind the bra business. From exploring customer insights and supporting seasonal campaigns to sharing ideas and seeing them come to life, I gained a deeper appreciation for the creativity, collaboration, and strategy that go into building an iconic brand. Some of my favorite moments included traveling to New York with my incredible team to celebrate one of our newest launches and having the opportunity to share my perspective with our CEO, Hillary Super. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn from and work alongside such an incredible team, and I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned into my next adventure as I pursue my master’s degree at London College of Fashion!”

Up next in our NYFW roundup: 2025 Virgil Abloh™️ "Post-Modern" Scholar Jefferson Linares of Pensole Lewis College, who is currently working as an Apprentice on the Special Project Design Team at Coach! Swipe through for photos of his experience working on the Coach Spring/Summer 2027 runway show, which celebrated their 85th anniversary, and keep reading to hear more from Jefferson:

"With this season serving as a celebration of Coach’s 85th anniversary, their NYFW runway show was designed as a Studio 54-inspired birthday party. As a leather goods apprentice at Coach, I was able to work on a number of accessories for the show, including the sequined party hats the models wore, and the "gift" bags seen on the runway. Once it was show day, I worked backstage helping to dress models, add any finishing touches to the accessories, and making sure everything was ready to go in line up before the models walked the runway."
