In a rural part of Liberia πŸ‡±πŸ‡·, a woman is seen in this video (circa 2025) being tortured by an unknown assailant.

Her crime allegedly was that she disobeyed a local traditional leader's or "zoe" instructions or edict.

Why now? She deserves justice!

The Voice of Liberia Founder, D Aghailas, questions Senator Dillon about a purported bill he has written more than four years ago to cut government salaries, but hasn't made any progress in getting it passed.

He wrote under Dillon's post:

"Why is it that your political leaders, Protemp Sen. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence and others are NOT taking this on and leading the charge, Senator Abe Darius Dillon?"

Are Liberian political class failing the people through their actions and inaction?

The Voice of Liberia commends President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr for signing an Executive Order ( #131) today establishing the "Office of War and Economic Crimes Court of Liberia."

The WCC will endeavor to bring justice for the victims of the atrocities committed during Liberia’s protracted civil wars of 1989 - 2003 that destroyed the nation's public infrastructure and killed more than a quarter million people.

As Liberia moves toward an era of accountability and justice, we want to thank the President for his wisdom and courage in making this decision.

We appreciate all activists and friends of Liberia who have been in the vanguard advocating for justice for the past 20 years.

Bravo to the valiant People of Liberia πŸ‡±πŸ‡·

LIBERIA πŸ‡±πŸ‡· MUST END CULTURE OF IMPUNITY

In recent weeks, we have witnessed renewed restlessness amongst ordinary people due to multiple fire incidents (burning homes, a church, school, etc.), protests action against a mining concession, shootings deaths (in Grand Cape Mount) of two young men, & and a death resulting from overly zealous LEC (Liberia Electricity Corp) field agents.

Amidst efforts to form a new government, that is still taking shape and what is obtaining in the country, it is time for a paradigm shift.

Results from the December 2023 run-off presidential elections showed a wide national divide that must be tackled swiftly through reconciliation, a government of inclusion, and ending the culture of impunity through justice.

We applaud President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr commitment to the rule of law and justice.

We stand in solidarity and call on the government to acknowledge these challenges and take bold actions that will steer our nation away from renewed lawlessness and chaos.

We need a new Liberia that works for everyone!
