After 5 successful Short Play Anthologies, The Collective NY is proud to announce of its first full-length play publication: Hurricane Party. Written by David Thigpen.

Originally produced in the fall of 2018 at Cherry Lane Theatre under the direction of Maria Dizzia . The cast featured ensemble members Sayra Player Kevin Kane Michael Abbott Jr., Lacy Marie Meyer and Booker Garrett along with guest actress Toni Lachelle Pollitt.

This publication is now available on Amazon and The Collective’s website (www.TheCollective-ny.org), but via website only, you’ll have an exclusive opportunity to support The Actors Fund by purchasing an author signed copy. A portion of all proceeds will go toward The Actors Fund and helping them continue to assist artists navigate these challenging times.

Hurricane Party was a labor of love, developed from improv sessions, through the actors and alongside the writer. It is a joy and honor to be able to share the script with you in this fashion. As a bonus this publication also includes a pair of short intertwined companion plays by Mr. Thigpen, In Wake of Yesterday and Tomorrow Mourning, which appeared as part of our fourth annual Collective:10 presentation in 2016.
