to Hong Ning residents filling the lobby with music for their neighbors. 🎹🎻 Moments like these remind us that home is more than four walls, but a community.

ℹ️ CPC Hong Ning Senior Housing and 64 Norfolk Senior Housing provide housing and wellness services for over 330 low-income seniors and formerly unhoused New Yorkers.

CPC hosted Undo Poverty Flushing's financial literacy workshop at our Queens Community Services. Led by National Financial Network and Flushing Bank, community members gained practical financial skills to help them plan, save, and thrive. 💙

Undo Poverty: Flushing is co-led by six community organizations who work collectively to advance mobility from poverty for individuals and families in Flushing. They include Asian Americans for Equality, The Child Center of NY, Minkwon Center for Community Action, Queens Public Library, River Fund, and CPC.

CPC stood in solidarity with Council Member Alexa Avilés, United Neighborhood Houses, and over 50 advocates and service providers at City Hall to urge the city to fully fund NYCBenefits in the FY27 executive budget. This program helps tens of thousands of New Yorkers access food, housing, healthcare, and other essentials, including SNAP, Fair Fares, and HEAP. Thank you Carlyn Cowen, CPC's Chief Policy and Public Affairs Officer, for speaking up for our community!✊

🥭 CPC X National Grid 🥬

CPC partnered with National Grid for two special food distribution events at CPC Brooklyn Community Services during AAPI Heritage Month.

More than 20 National Grid volunteers joined us to pack and distribute fresh produce, including mangoes, bananas, and cabbages, to over 900 community members.

Rising food costs have made it hard for many families to access healthy food. We are grateful for partners like National Grid who help support our ongoing bi-weekly food distribution program to ensure community wellbeing and that fresh food reaches those who need it most. 💙

Happy Pride Month! 🌈 We are excited to share that Cowen, CPC's Chief Policy and Public Affairs Officer, has been named a 2026 City & State Pride Trailblazer by City & State NY!

Carlyn oversees our public policy, advocacy, government affairs and community engagement work and helped build an advocacy program that engages over 2,000 staff and community members each year. They also helped secure state funding for AAPI organizations and serve as co-chair of the board for Jews for Racial and Economic Justice.

Join us in celebrating Carlyn and all the LGBTQ+ leaders making their voices heard across New York. 👏

In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and Child Care Provider Appreciation Month, CPC's Early Childhood Learning & Wellness Services celebrated 210 licensed family child care providers at our very first Provider Appreciation Luncheon. 🎉

Thank you to these dedicated providers for your partnership, commitment, and support. You are essential to strengthening child care and creating brighter futures for our children.

Every child deserves access to quality childcare. Every family deserves support. And every childcare provider deserves dignity, respect, and fair pay. This year’s State budget made historic investments in Statewide pre-K, free 2-K for NYC, and investments in pilot programs for 0-3 year olds statewide. Thank you Governor Kathy Hochul, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, and Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie for investing in our littlest New Yorkers and working families. CPC was proud to advocate alongside New Yorkers United for Child Care and other partners for this win. Let’s keep up the fight to secure fair wages for the providers who care for and educate our communities every day, and to guarantee universal childcare for every child in New York.

CPC Adult Literacy Program x NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital 🤝

We partnered with NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital for a language-accessible workshop on navigating the emergency room, learning about patient rights, interpreter services, mental health support, and more.

Our students learn English to support their kids, navigate city services, find jobs, and become citizens. This workshop checked those boxes and will help improve lives in our immigrant community. 🙏
