Partnership for the Eradication of Human Trafficking (PEHT) Program developed under the auspice of the UNA USA (Queens Chapter) What is Human Trafficking? Human trafficking is the modern form of slavery.

It is the systematic exploitation of labor; under which a person is compelled to work for another without any personal benefit or ensured safety. Since the international abolishment of slavery in 1948, this term is no longer used. In modern times, slavery is defined as human trafficking and is conceived as a fundamental depravation of basic human rights and entitlements in which victims are forced to provide labor or s*x services through force, fraud or coercion.
