Cultivating JOY ®, a unique and evidence-based model of practice, is emerging as a powerful tool to fortify relational connection. This immersive retreat draws on Imago therapy, neuroscience, mindfulness, positive psychology, and somatic healing modalities to nurture intimacy and cultivate emotional equilibrium.
Guided, supervised Ketamine sessions offer couples a unique opportunity to gain fresh insights and deepen their connection. Mindfulness and meditation practices are taught and practiced throughout this retreat to support improved self-regulation of emotions and thoughts.
This retreat is also open to a few licensed mental health professionals who want to experience the model and learn to facilitate it.
Rest assured, safety is a core priority, and every individual is assessed to ensure they are ready to attend and experience Ketamine in a safe and constructive manner.
Join us in August (NY) and September (Oregon) for a transformative experience that will help you meet each moment with equanimity and grace.

Donna Sorgen LMHT and Tammy Nelson Ph.D, along with their spouses Harvey and Bruce, will lead you through a retreat program designed for 10 couples.

This immersive couples retreat focuses on fostering effective communication to deepen your connection and navigate challenges together. Through noble communication, we aim to help you understand each other's needs and cultivate an intimate bond through open dialogue.

We believe that clear and compassionate communication is the cornerstone of healthy relationships. By honing these skills, couples can enhance their partnership, leading to increased pleasure, shared joy, and a profound sense of connection. Sexuality and capacity for intimacy can be explored through structured and meaningful conversations and guided practices in this safe, beautiful setting.

Couples will have the opportunity to explore their relationship dynamics, break old patterns, and discover impediments to joy and well-being. Through mindfulness practices, walks in nature, live music, guided meditation, and possibly ketamine-assisted sessions, you can open the doors of your mind, heart, and body to deeper self-awareness and connection.

Depression, isolation, anxiety and withdrawal from each other are symptoms of Relationship Fatigue and often carry a huge burden of despair and a sense of hopelessness for change. Creating space for cultivating JOY will bring a renewed energy and excitement into your relationship.

This retreat is designed for couples committed to personal growth and deepening their interpersonal connections. Whether you have experience with psychedelic medicines or not, all are welcome to apply. Safety and readiness to engage in group settings are paramount considerations for participation. Please note: this retreat is not a brief residential treatment. It is not meant for anyone suffering from an acute mental health crisis, nor is it for those with severe and persistent psychiatric conditions.
