Tonight, we celebrate 40 years at our Better Begins Here Gala and reflect on decades of growth, innovation, and expanding support for New Yorkers across the city. 💛 We hope to see you there!

A strong mental health system doesn’t stop at crisis care.

ICL’s STEPS program was created to help New Yorkers transition from intensive care to long-term stability with continued support, housing, and clinical care.

A new story from Crain's New York Business highlights the impact STEPS is already having and the urgent need for the City to release the funding already allocated to expand the program. Without it, New Yorkers currently relying on STEPS could lose access to critical care.

It’s simple: equal work deserves equal wages.

Despite this, nonprofit human services workers earn 30% less than City workers — for the same job.

📣 We were proud to rally with our new colleagues from Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter to support Int 0452 (Wage Equity Legislation), which would help close the pay gap and advance for our workers.

Take a look inside ICL’s East New York Health HUB 🏠✨

More than a health center, the HUB is the embodiment of ICL’s commitment to whole-health, community-based care. Located on the border of East New York and Brownsville, this innovative space brings together 25 programs serving children, adults, and families with integrated behavioral health, primary care, housing, and supportive services.

The HUB was built to address long-standing health disparities and continues to serve the community with compassion. 💛

Residents from across our I/DD residences came together to celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with music, creative activities, festive décor, and great food.

Storybooks and springtime fun at the Health HUB! 📚🌸

Our Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) team brought children and caregivers together for a joyful day of arts and crafts, games, and community. Thanks to the generosity of Brooklyn Book Bodega, every child took home a new book to enjoy.
