Run westward
chasing the sun. Beg to relive the hour
before it falls
Darkened forever and
shadowed by
the present. Sunset rays
coloring the past
Entice foolish clutching
at moments ended. This poem is the inspiration for the name of the company as well as the company logo. Since first reading this poem in 1982, Ms. Brandt has used it as

inspiration to continually move forward; to remind herself to face eastward each day and live life in the present. This is the message DDE wishes to share with the world. See the world around you; embrace the world around you. Ms. Brandt's choreography has been described as "powerful", "lyrical", "emotional" and occasionally even "funny". In addition to her years as a dancer and choreographer, Ms. Brandt holds an MFA in Acting and is an accomplished actor and director. DDE's works often combine elements of traditional theatre to tell stories through movement.
