BREAKING NEWS: Judge blocks Trump Administration latest voter suppression tactic.

Yesterday USPS announced that it would not deliver mail in ballots if states do not hand over their voter lists to the Trump Administration. This was a result of an Executive Order that was issued in March that threatened to severely limit mail in ballot access for states across the country. A judge’s ruling today has blocked that change.

Mail in ballots are essential for working families, Latinos, and elderly voters who often struggle to vote in person. Our democracy is strongest when all eligible voters have fair and equal access to the ballot. We must do all that we can to ensure that more people can exercise their right to vote in November.

We stand with the Venezuelan community as they mourn unimaginable loss and face yet another hardship in an ongoing humanitarian crisis.

For years, Venezuela has faced political instability, economic collapse and ongoing hardship. These two earthquakes have killed at least 164 people and made conditions even more dangerous for people in the country.

At this critical moment, hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans in the U.S continue to face uncertainty because of the elimination of Temporary Protected Status for Venezuelans.

Hispanic Federation calls on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin to redesignate Venezuela for TPS, a vital safeguard for individuals who cannot safely return home.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, caregivers, and father figures whose love, guidance and dedication help strengthen our families and communities.

Thank you for showing up, leading with compassion, and creating opportunities for future generations.

And while we celebrate Father’s Day, it’s also important to recognize the challenges many dads face and ensure that they have the support they need to thrive.

Juneteenth commemorates the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in the United States on June 19, 1865. Today, we honor this history and reaffirm our commitment to racial justice, equity, and collective liberation.

Millions of Latinos carry African ancestry and Afro-Latino identity, connecting our communities through shared histories, struggles, and resilience. Our liberation stories are deeply intertwined.

At Hispanic Federation, we stand in solidarity with Black communities as we continue the work of building a more just and equitable future for all. ¡Contigo en la lucha!

Today, nearly 100 Latino nonprofit leaders, philanthropy partners, and community advocates gathered in Wisconsin for our second annual to strengthen connections, share strategies, and advance a collective vision for our communities.

At a time when Latinos are facing rising costs and new challenges, gatherings like this create space to organize, advocate, and lead. Throughout the day, participants explored advocacy strategies, community-centered fundraising, workforce challenges impacting Midwest Latino communities, voter education and mobilization ahead of the 2026 midterms elections, and AI opportunities and challenges.

The conversations, partnership, and ideas shared here will extend far beyond this room, helping build stronger organizations and a more resilient future for Latino communities across the Midwest.

Thank you to our partners and every leader, advocate, and organization for joining us. Thank you for everything you do for NUESTRA COMUNIDAD!

Last night we kicked off with a welcome reception bringing together nearly 100 Latino nonprofit leaders, partners and community advocates from across the Midwest.

During his opening remarks, our President & CEO Frankie Miranda reminded us that while our communities continue to face real challenges, we also continue to move forward with resilience and determination. He emphasized that Encuentro is more than a gathering, it’s an opportunity to raise our voices, strengthen our collective impact, and help shape what comes next for Latino communities across the Midwest.

Thank you to Mayor Cavalier Johnson and our host organization Forward Latino for joining us, sharing inspirational remarks, and supporting our community.

The work continues. Stay tuned for more updates from

This past Saturday, we celebrated 20 years of Vive Tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving! alongside our longtime partners National Alliance for Hispanic Health and Healthy Americas Foundation.

For two decades, this signature event has brought together hundreds of families across NYC to promote healthier lifestyles through free health screening, wellness resources, physical activities, nutrition education, and community connection.

We are building healthier, more equitable communities for generations to come.

Special thanks to all our partners for helping make this year’s celebration possible.
