From our earliest days, the Grand Street Boys' main mission was to improve the condition of today's youth, to assist the disad­vantaged, to assist the disabled and to support our returning military in whatever ways we are able. To meet these ends, the Grand Street Boys established our "Hobbies" program that is a clearing house for the distribution of merchandise to the ill, the needy and our most

precious resource: the children of our diverse communities. Grand Street Boys has also assisted the United States Navy's "Handclasp Program," and the United States Information Agency by sending books valued at millions of dollars to third world nations for edu­cational purposes. Grand Street Boys continues to assist veterans' medical centers, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, as well as boys and girls clubs, youth centers, senior citizen groups and many not-for-profit organizations.
