Sharing this review from 2016 in memory of The Alchemical Studios which lost its lease and closed over the weekend. "In the Room" by Lawrence Dial was a love letter to endangered spaces like the Alchemical, which provide a lifeline to Off-off-Broadway theatre. It was also the last full production from Slant Theatre Project (and a truly fantastic play that deserves more productions).

Staged by the Slant Theater Project, Lawrence Dial’s drama tracks the connections among a motley collection of students and the plays they write.
