Today June 19th is a celebration where the nation observes the end of salvery in the United States during the Civil War. Juneteenth is short for “June 19th” . This is also called a day of Freedom, Emancipation & Independence. This is a day Haitian Family Resource Center (HFRC) remembers and draws great inspiration to those who fought for our freedom.

May is Haitian Heritage Month which is a time to celebrate Haitian culture. Haitian Heritage Month, is celebrated by distinct art, dance, food, music and history. This celebration is done every year from May 1-31 and it is also used to commemorate Haitian Flag day on May 18.
