Congratulations to our very own President, Gurvinder Singh, on his well deserved promotion to the rank of Lieutenant!

Lieutenant Singh continues to be a trailblazer and a tremendous source of pride and inspiration for the Sikh community. Throughout his career, he has continued to make history by becoming the first turban wearing Police Officer, first turban wearing Sergeant, and now the first turban wearing Lieutenant.

His dedication, leadership, and commitment to service continue to pave the way for future generations of Sikh officers.

The Sikh Officers Association is incredibly proud of Lieutenant Singh and all that he has accomplished. Please join us in congratulating him on this historic achievement and wishing him continued success as he begins this exciting new chapter in his career.

Today, we pause to remember Deputy Sheriff Sandeep Dhaliwal, whose life was taken in the line of duty seven years ago today.

Sandeep’s story is one of service, courage, faith, and perseverance. He broke barriers while remaining grounded in the values that guided him — serving others, helping his community, and making a difference in the lives of those around him.

His uniform may have represented his profession, but his impact reached far beyond it. Sandeep opened doors for those who came after him and became an inspiration to countless Sikh Americans and law enforcement officers across the country.

As members of the Sikh Officers Association, we are proud to continue remembering Sandeep and honoring the example he left behind. His legacy reminds us that one person, through dedication and service, can inspire an entire generation.

On this 7th LOD Anniversary, our thoughts and prayers remain with his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who continues to carry his memory. Harris County Sheriff’s Office

25 Years. We Will Never Forget. 🇺🇸

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11th, the Sikh Officers Association remembers the innocent lives lost, the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and all those who continue to lose their lives from illnesses related to that tragic day.

Twenty five years have passed, but their courage, sacrifice, and memory remain with us.

As we remember those we lost, let us continue to stand together, support one another, and grow stronger as one community.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸🙏

Police Officer Harminder S. Grewal #239

Five years ago, we lost Police Officer Harminder S. Grewal, Galt Police Department, in the line of duty. His memory, his sacrifice, and the impact he had on those who knew him will never be forgotten.

The Sikh Officers Association proudly honors Harminder’s legacy each year through the Sikh Hoops Basketball Tournament, where we presented the “Harminder S. Grewal MVP Trophy” to a deserving player.

It is our small way of ensuring that Harminder’s name continues to be spoken, his story continues to be shared, and his sacrifice continues to inspire future generations.

Today, on the 5th anniversary of his line of duty death, we remember not only the officer who made the ultimate sacrifice, but the son, brother, friend, colleague, and member of our Sikh community who will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
