Our member Fundação Luso-Americana is celebrating the 250th anniversary of US Independence with a special essay contest.

Young US citizens of Portuguese ancestry, age 18 to 23, can take part by sharing their perspective on the centuries-old relationship between Portugal and the United States. Know someone who fits the description? Tag them below! 👇

The first-place winner receives $2,000 and the opportunity to have their essay published in a Portuguese-American media outlet, while the two second-place winners each receive $1,000.

One of Portugal's most beloved beverage brands has confirmed plans to expand into the US!

Targeting a launch by 2028, Sumol Compal's initial strategy will center on a production and distribution partnership, expanding beyond a presence currently concentrated among the Portuguese diaspora, into the wider US market.

This move reflects a broader trend and impact of Portuguese companies looking to the US as a market for long-term growth. At Portugal-US Chamber of Commerce, we look forward to seeing this journey unfold!

This year's Annual Gala had more than one artistic highlight to celebrate.

The evening's musical moment was made possible by the continued support of Arte Institute. This year, they brought us Recante, led by Maria João Jones alongside composer Alfaro (Luís Caracinha). Rooted in traditional Alentejo music and reimagined through electronics and contemporary influence, Recante's sound unites tradition and innovation, offering a glimpse of home to some of our Portuguese guests.

Our thanks to Recante and Arte Institute for being part of this evening in such a special way!

Art was one of the highlights of this year's PUSCC Annual Gala.

Alongside our usual silent auction favorites, from top NYC restaurants to TAP Air Portugal flights, this year's auction featured original prints and paintings, generously donated by four talented artists.

Monica Srivastava, Keith Martine, Rodrigo Veloso and Pedro Duarte Jorge are the Portuguese and American artists who turned our auction into a vibrant showcase of original and unique art. We're thankful and honored for their support, and to have had most of them join us on the evening of our Gala.

Every year, we recognize those who carry the Portugal-US relationship forward. This year, we had three honorees who never stop pushing to do more.

Domitilia dos Santos received our Past President Award, honoring the time she led PUSCC and the mark she left behind. Domitilia's extraordinary life goes beyond her work. She brings the same drive to everything she does, from the 320+ marathons across 43 countries to earning two Guinness World Records.

Our Transatlantic Investor Award went to TMG Automotive, accepted by CEO Isabel Furtado. Part of TMG Group, whose story goes back to the 1930s, TMG Automotive carries forward an almost century-old legacy, now placing tech and innovation at the forefront and investing millions in the USA.

We also took the time to celebrate a historic moment for Portugal: its election to the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member, reaching a defining milestone after years of diplomatic work. It was our great honor to recognize Ambassador Rui Vinhas and the Permanent Mission of Portugal to the UN for this achievement.

Our three honorees have three distinct paths, yet one common thread: an excellence that makes us proud to have them be a part of the Portugal-US story. 🇵🇹🇺🇸

This year, we were honored to welcome João Rui Ferreira, Portugal's Secretary of State for Economy, as our keynote speaker at the Gala.

We also heard from Philomène Dias, Executive Board Member of AICEP, following our co-organized Portugal Economic Forum that morning.

Both brought the spirit of dialogue and collaboration between Portugal and the US to our stage at the Harvard Club, and shared their thoughts on the strength of this relationship - a welcome sign of how wide our network grows when the right partners are in the room.

We're happy to be actively part of the conversation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this week for a truly special evening! Our Annual Gala is always a highlight of the year, and this one was no exception.
