📝 Drawing from her experience as both a poet and speechwriter, Senior Fellow Laura Westring spoke at our April event about the ways poetic language can bridge emotional and civic life, noting that it is often the “poetry of the speech” that most deeply connects with the human heart and can motivate collective action when grounded in care and sincerity.
