This week’s speeches brought humor, reflection, confidence, and heartfelt storytelling to the stage:

After the Fall by Jim Revak — a vivid story brought to life with great vocal variety and engaging delivery.
Only in NYC by Anna White — a reminder of why New York is truly New York, and the unique energy that makes the city unforgettable.
Own Your Spot by Melissa McGovern — inspiring lessons from dancing and confidence: go to the front row, own your space, and remember you deserve it.
Gaining & Losing by Yuzhe Ni — a thoughtful reflection on how a healthy lifestyle and consistent habits can truly make a difference. Practice makes perfect.
Cheers to the Bride & Groom! by Robert Paul — a best man speech practice happening in an actual church, as everyone raised their imaginary glasses together 🥂

Khanh’s Table Topics session was such a fun twist - each speaker (all new members) picked two prompts, and somehow the combinations matched surprisingly well, leading to creative, thoughtful, and entertaining responses.

Curious how spicy is that 🍗(Hilary Xu); Sailing GP rivals Formula 1 – get in early! (Melanie Bekx); Explore ideologies/philosophies to find what inspires you (Don Moore); Don’t let challenges stop you from acknowledging your achievements. (Carly Gerlach)

Talking about potentially controversial subjects from a personal perspective makes them compelling. (Victoria Dyadyukh); Don’t signal mistskes and we might never know. (Anthony Lomonaco)
Eval SAS: share specific, actionable feedback, then summarize. (Robert Paul)

4/20/26 WOW Report/Winners of the Week

Another successful meeting! Four thoughtful speeches explored evolving relationship with time, the idea that discipline defines us through lessons from sifu, the joy and intention of planting seeds for growth, and the lasting impact of mentorship.
And our Table Topics session also explored the theme of time - what a meaningful coincidence that tied everything together.

*4/13/26 WOW Report/Winners of the Week*

What a Monday night! 🎉
Table Topics was inspired by “Wheel of Musical Impressions” — and we had a custom generator (built by 🤖) that made it extra fun 🎤✨
DM me if you want to try it!

The meeting had a little bit of everything:
🌱 Life lessons from lucky bamboo (and proof that Wasiu has the greenest fingers)
🎭 Improv wisdom on owning your actions and space, from Moises
⚖️ Reflections on winning and losing weight — and the moments in between, from Yuzhe
💛 A reminder that simply showing up for someone can change everything from Hayden

Huge thanks to our toastmaster and helpers for keeping the evening running seamlessly 🙌
We had first-timers - and you’d never have known. The energy was just right.
A great evaluation session with plenty for everyone to take away, and overall a fun, thoughtful, and energizing evening ✨

Thoughtful evaluations from @ Erica, @ Khanh, @ Robert, and @ Carly.
