We should get a decent turnout for this year's 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 luncheon — we are partnering with the NYC Atheists for the event. I hope you can all make it to Tony's diNapoli, Saturday 1:30pm. You will find Tony's diNapoli at 1081 Third Avenue between 63rd and 64th Street.
We have invited Rob Palmer to be the speaker. Rob began writing for Skeptical Inquirer in 2018 as The Well-Known Skeptic. He has had over 100 articles published in his column as well as by other skeptical organizations around the world. Rob co-hosts the weekly livestreamed Recovering from Religion show. He serves as a spokesperson for the Recovering from Religion (RfR) organization and will be speaking about that. May 16th, 1:30pm at Tony's diNapoli Italian restaurant. Nope, that’s not a skunk—but it is pretty stinky! Meet the striped polecat (Ictonyx striatus). Also known as the zorilla, this black- and- white mammal can be found in a wide range of habitats across Africa. It can grow about 2 ft (24 in) long including its tail. The striped polecat is a solitary carnivore that feeds on small mammals, insects, birds, amphibians, and invertebrates. When threatened, it might squeal, raise its tail, and excrete pungent liquid from its a**l glands—which can be directed at foes up to 2 m (6.5 ft) away. If that doesn’t work, this critter will play dead.

Our next event where we invite a speaker is shaping up to be pretty special — we are getting Fish Stark, executive director of the American Humanist Association. He will give a talk he is calling We are the Moral Majority, followed by a Q&A session.
