Culture makes the world go round! 🌎

One of our favorite Camp 2030 traditions is Culture Night! Each year, we invite our Campers to bring snacks, items, and clothing that represents their culture. On Culture Night, we get dressed up to the nines, teach one another cultural dances and traditions, and educate one another on some of the customs, languages, and traditions of our communities.

We live in an interconnected world, and the only way to solve shared global challenges is through building cultural understanding through empathy. 💞

By building a world full of global citizens, we can create a more just and sustainable world! 🌎

📣 ONE WEEK UNTIL DAVOS 2026!

Global leaders are gathering in Switzerland for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue.” 🗣️ (although we personally prefer action, decisions, commitments, capital, and follow-through.... 😘)

From cooperation in a contested world to AI governance, climate action, and the future of work, the conversations this week will influence policy, capital, and priorities far beyond Davos.

We’re breaking down:
• What Davos is
• Who attends
• Why youth participation matters
• The key themes and language shaping the week
• How anyone can follow along and get involved

Because global decisions shape real lives—and young people deserve clarity, context, and a voice in the conversation.

Follow along as we track what matters most.
💬 What topic are you watching most this week?

⭐️ Segundo Hogar is a program designed to bridge the gap in support for K-8 Spanish-speaking migrant children in San Diego. These children face challenges processing trauma and adapting to a new country, with current afterschool programs often relying on underqualified staff. Segundo Hogar connects these children with bilingual graduate students from psychology, art therapy, and social work programs, who provide free trauma-informed support while fulfilling their fieldwork requirements.

⭐️The Ember Co-op is a cooperatively owned nonprofit focused on wildfire mitigation in wildfire-prone communities in Canada. The Ember Co-op mobilizes local volunteers to manage fuel in larger areas, reducing the vulnerability of homes and towns to wildfires.

⭐️The Aunty Project (TAP) seeks to bridge the gap between survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) in Bihar, India, and available crisis resources by leveraging the trusted “aunty” network—women over the age of 50—to connect survivors with NGO partners for legal, medical, and psychological assistance.
