Did you see this year's industry survey from Publishers Weekly? There's some interesting data about salary, gender, workforce diversity, and harassment here.

LAST CALL TO VOLUNTEER WITH YPG FOR NEW YORK CARES DAY THIS SATURDAY

Today (October 15) is the last day to sign up with NY Cares Day for Schools this Saturday, October 20!

Young to Publishing Group has participated in NYCares Day for Schools every fall for many years. This is a great opportunity to dip your toe in the wonderful world of volunteering here in New York City. NYCares Day will take place on Saturday, October 20. Our group has been paired with a school in need and will assist with completing a project to help the school. In years past, we have helped clear out storage areas, cleaned and organized school libraries, and painted beautiful murals. We usually start first thing in the morning with a lunch break from 12-1pm followed by another hour or two of volunteering, depending on the project. Additional bonus: we also get a very cool free T-shirt with a fun NYCares Day design! Please sign up with our group: YOUNG TO PUBLISHING (YPG CARES). A donation of $10 is suggested, but not required.

Please contact Heather Allen at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Date/Time: Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:30am to 2pm
