Classes are designed for children who are being raised in the United States by Iranian and/or foreign parents. We introduce the Persian language and culture through music and play. The themes for classes are inspired by Persian folklore and expressions. Children will learn Persian vocabulary and be exposed to different aspects of the culture through discovery, music, play and storytelling.

✨A trip down memory lane!
Here are just a few of our favorite projects from 2015 to 2020, shared especially for our friends who have joined us here in recent years!

For more than a decade, as part of our core classes, we’ve been offering a cultural education unit where children explore various aspects of Iranian culture and traditions through one of two projects each semester. Over the years, we’ve covered a wide range of topics that showcase the richness of Iranian culture, from the landmarks, geography, and cities of Iran to the intricate beauty of Persian carpets, gardens, and musical instruments. Students have delved into the flavors of Persian cuisine and the artistry of miniature, contemporary, and modern Iranian art. We’ve also celebrated the diverse traditions, clothing, and dialects of various regions, as well as Persian classical and modern literature, folklore, and so much more!

Oftentimes, these projects are explored through 3D models or compiled into beautiful books that we gift to our students at the end of the semester.

Many of our Pardis alumni, now high schoolers, still send us photos of their stained glass lamps, sculptures of mystical characters from the Shahnameh, or their Pardis books sitting on their shelves—a reminder of the cultural journey we began together at Pardis! We hope these projects continue to inspire our students, creating a lasting connection to their heritage and a deep appreciation for Iranian culture! ❣️
