Equity for Children is an initiative providing a platform for academics, students, policy makers and practitioners working to better the lives of children in need. We encourage critical thinking, by creating and disseminating knowledge about how to address child poverty, marginalization and inequality. With headquarters in New York at The New School, as well as branches in Buenos Aires, Rio de Jan

eiro and Mexico City, Equity for Children sponsors original research, teaching, events and symposia in person and through its websites in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Our partners include UNICEF and Young Lives at the University of Oxford. Equity for Children:
• creates forums of exchange, debate and advocacy among researchers, policy makers, civil society and practitioners

• encourages research on new and innovative practices and theories

• translates complex theories and research into applicable tools for practitioners

• provides contact to academics with practitioners, activist and advocacy groups

Tribute to Richard Abrons

In loving memory of our dear friend and supporter of Equity for Children, Richard Abrons.
Richard cared very much about eliminating child poverty and shared our belief that this world can be a more just and equitable place.
With great sadness we say farewell. We will miss your friendship and inspiration.
Our deep love to Richard’s wife, Iris and his family. We will carry on your work and ideals.
