Let’s do this again! We’re organizing a community food drive. 100% of donated food and Venmo gifts will go directly to the Saint Rose of Lima Food Pantry. Food insecurity spikes around the holidays, every can and dollar helps a neighbor set the table.

What the pantry needs most:
• Non-perishables and canned goods with self-opening tabs
• Microwaveable/boil-water meals (soups, instant noodles, oatmeal, Chef Boyardee), Baby food, beverages, instant coffee, protein drinks
• Small toiletries: hand warmers, band-aids, hand sanitizer, hand cream, wipes, gum, chapstick, feminine products, tissues, combs, etc.

Potato Fest 2025 is Saturday, Oct. 11, 12–4 pm, at the Beach 91st Street Community Garden. This community event is a joyful celebration of the beloved root vegetable—and a chance to get together with friends and neighbors in the garden to share a meal of (mostly) potatoes. The dishes are home-cooked by community volunteers—thank you to everyone cooking!!

We’re excited to open up the garden space for a relaxing experience - Yoga in the Garden 🌿 — Sunday, Oct 5 · 11:30am. Garden herb tea will be served afterwards. The class will be guided by instructor, Diana Treglia, B.S., M.A., E-RYT, C-IAYT. (Thank you Diana!)

Potato Fest 2025 🥔✨ In celebration of the beloved root vegetable!

📅 Sunday, Oct 12 🕛 12–4pm 📍 Beach 91st Street Community Garden

All the potato foods you can imagine! Potato activities include 🔥 Hot potato showdown, potato art craft, Mr. Potato Head play corner and the potato education table.

We’ve got a fun mash-up of music: 🎶 , Flutist Daniel Hanna () and spinning the vibes.

Bring your friends, bring your appetite, and let’s celebrate the mighty potato together in the community garden. This is a free event, all are welcome!
