Rosalind is an elegant and opinionated ginger beauty who is excellent at finding the perfect places for a good snooze. She may play a bit hard to get at first (she is, after all, a cat), but her desire for closeness will have her rubbing against your ankles soon enough.
Rosalind’s spirit truly emerges when you break out the fishing pole or the cat dancer. She loves to bat at these toys and get her ya-yas out, followed by a long nap. When she sleeps, she makes the cutest little sleep talking/snoring sounds, just like a Muppet. She is head over paws for catnip.
Rosalind last year has been full of changes and drama, and with each transition, she has gained a little more bravery. Initially surrendered (with her son or brother or just roommate, still unclear) by her longtime owners when they moved to Florida, she started in a group foster home where she lost weight alarmingly quickly and then stopped eating entirely. We're still not sure exactly what was ailing her (most likely it was something in addition to stress), but after a couple months of diagnostics, vet visits and syringe feeding, Rosalind started eating on her own again! Once she remembered the joy of food, she made a quick recovery -- and she will now stomp her paws with impatience when a meal is behind schedule!
Rosalind tolerates other cats, but would be happiest as a single lady in a quiet home. She is 6 years old, spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Our adoption application is available at catcafebk.com/adoptapp.
