Alice and Emma are pretty one-year old sisters who want to stay together. Alice is a very smart, playful and curious fairy cat with her beautiful soft white fur, tabby cap and beautiful heterochromatic eyes. (One eye is blue and the other olive colored.) She loves to be pet and will purr when you scratch her head. She absolutely loves other cats, is gentle, affectionate and her cute little squeaks for food will melt your heart.

Emma is a pretty and petite tabby and white, with beautiful swirls in the tabby parts of her coat. She is small but mighty. She's a bit spicy compared to her sweet sister Alice, and still shy, but she is slowly letting her guard down around her human roommates. She also LOVES other cats and LOVES to play. You'll never see such little hind legs bunny kick a toy faster!
These sweet sisters grew up on a construction site, full of noise and heavy foot traffic which has made them a bit skittish, but they have adapted quickly and warmed up to their human roommates once given the chance to observe safely from a quiet playpen. Alice has been inside with people longer and has had more time to acclimate. She still has some moments of being skittish but those moments pass quickly with some slow blinks and reassuring words. She does enjoy human companionship and these moments of fear are occurring less frequently. These two would be perfect for an experienced foster to adopt and would do well together or could also join another multi-cat household. They deserve an indoor life together with a loving family!
Alice and Emma are healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Rosalind is an elegant and opinionated ginger beauty who is excellent at finding the perfect places for a good snooze. She may play a bit hard to get at first (she is, after all, a cat), but her desire for closeness will have her rubbing against your ankles soon enough.

Rosalind’s spirit truly emerges when you break out the fishing pole or the cat dancer. She loves to bat at these toys and get her ya-yas out, followed by a long nap. When she sleeps, she makes the cutest little sleep talking/snoring sounds, just like a Muppet. She is head over paws for catnip.

Rosalind last year has been full of changes and drama, and with each transition, she has gained a little more bravery. Initially surrendered (with her son or brother or just roommate, still unclear) by her longtime owners when they moved to Florida, she started in a group foster home where she lost weight alarmingly quickly and then stopped eating entirely. We're still not sure exactly what was ailing her (most likely it was something in addition to stress), but after a couple months of diagnostics, vet visits and syringe feeding, Rosalind started eating on her own again! Once she remembered the joy of food, she made a quick recovery -- and she will now stomp her paws with impatience when a meal is behind schedule!

Rosalind tolerates other cats, but would be happiest as a single lady in a quiet home. She is 6 years old, spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Our adoption application is available at catcafebk.com/adoptapp.

Alfie and Graycie are super sweet sisters who came from a complicated hoarding situation. They were pretty scared at first, but after a few weeks the difference is unimaginable.

Graycie is sociable and playful. She always wants to cuddle and follows you around to see what you are up to. She is also super adventurous and weirdly curious about sinks, bathtubs, dishwashers and fridges. She loves to hang out by the window and look at what’s going on in the street.

Alfie is a bit more reserved and takes longer to get comfortable, but seeing her open up has been an incredibly rewarding experience. She LOVES to wrap herself with blankets with just her paws hanging out.

These two cuties love each other and you’ll often find them cuddling and playing around! They are truly the sweetest! Alfie and Graycie are 1 - 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Our adoption application is available at catcafebk.com/adoptapp.

Nikki is a little diva and we love her for it. She’s got the brightest big green eyes and model looks – the camera loves her. She’s not shy about giving you a little hiss to let you know who’s who from time to time, but don’t worry, she’s a huge sweetie. She loves a comfy spot on the bed or couch and curling up next to a source of infinite pets. She might even get the wiggles and roll around for the pets if she’s feeling frisky.

Nikki was rescued from a backyard with many cats and seems to be much happier (and friendlier) when she is the only cat. She previously cohabitated with a small dog and was fine.

Nikki is 3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Our adoption application is available at catcafebk.com/adoptapp.

Capricornia’s past is a mystery as she was rescued incredibly sick, emaciated and already eartipped. Despite a rough beginning full of frequent medications, exams and baths, she was (almost) always happy to see us. As her health improved, she became more comfortable with us, and now the volunteers are wearing their sweatshirts backwards just so she can ride around in the hood. “She is my favorite.” — direct quote from a volunteer.

Capricornia is a truly ridiculous and tiny creature. She is still a work in progress as we haven’t found a diet that completely works for her, although her digestive system is in a significantly firmer situation than when she arrived. She does have scarring on one eye from a previous infection, but it doesn’t bother her or require any treatment. She is FIV+ which means that her adopters should be proactive about future health concerns and schedule yearly vet visits (which is something that we recommend to all adopters). She somewhat tolerates other cats, but would definitely prefer to live the single life.

How best to sum up this lovely lady? In the words of the same volunteer, “When I open the cage door she jumps on my shoulder. And when I close the door she screams.” Help us take Capricornia out of the cage for good so she can spend her days riding shoulders like the parrot that she was born to be.

Capricornia is 5 years old, spayed, vaccinated, FeLV negative, and microchipped. Our adoption application is available at catcafebk.com/adoptapp.

Apollo and Artemis are a brother and sister kitten duo who will charm you with their godly powers! They may have different personalities, but nothing makes them happier than cuddling and grooming each other.

Apollo (brown and white tabby) is a spunky and outgoing boy who will let you know exactly what he wants, whether it’s a session of Scritches and Worship or a good game of wand toy hunting. He will quickly reward you with loud purrs, head butts (with his little pink nose), and an occasional belly rub (what a soft belly!).

Artemis (black and white) is more of a reserved girl with a sophisticated taste. A lover of chin scratches and churu treats, she may be slow to open up initially but will melt in your arms once your dedicated services satisfy her. Some of her other hobbies include playing chase with her brother and napping in tiny boxes.

Apollo and Artemis are bonded and are looking for a forever home together. They are neutered and spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Our adoption application is available at catcafebk.com/adoptapp.

Prim is perhaps the perfect cat. She is outgoing, confident, and friendly. She never hides and is always excited to be right in the middle of the action.

As a growing girl (and no longer a kitten) she still has the playfulness of a young’un but not the crazy energy of a tiny kitten. She loves scratching her scratching post (not the couch) And has impeccable litter box manners and has never had an accident.

Cats like these are often called “beginner cats” and she would be perfect for a first-time cat owner. Prim is affectionate and loves to rest a paw or her head on your lap as she sleeps. She has the absolute cutest side-eye. Prim may be ok with dogs and children. And may be ok with a similar confident and friendly cat. (She can sometimes be confused by shy and submissive cats if they become defensive after a playful swat.) However, she would also be happy as a solo cat with plenty of love, attention, and play time.

Prim is 18 months old, spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Our adoption application is available at catcafebk.com/adoptapp.

Spunky and sassy Sophie is seeking lots of snuggles! This tabby lady generally has a determined look on her face which is offset by the cutest crinkly ear. She has an excellent sense of smell (did someone open a bag of treats?) and is very playful. We're not entirely sure of Sophie's past, but we do know that she'd like her future to be full of as much attention as possible! She adores being pet and admired and has no interest in sharing with anyone else -- she wants to be your one and only.

Sophie is 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Our adoption application is available at catcafebk.com/adoptapp.

Mozart is a sweet 12-year-old gal who may take a minute to warm up to you, but come prepared with a brush and she’s all yours. Mozart loves cuddles, chasing string, and being under the blanket. She’s getting more affectionate and confident in her surroundings every day! This is a calm lady who doesn’t need much, but appreciates your attention. She does well with a small calm dog, but might be best off as a single lady.

Mozart is spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Our adoption application is available at catcafebk.com/adoptapp.

Be sure to keep your cat . While we worry about COVID, cats have their own deadly upper respiratory illnesses. Feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia are all extremely contagious, painful, life-threatening diseases. They can all be prevented with a combined vaccine starting as young as 4 weeks old. All cats that come to our rescue spay/neuter clinic get a free FVRCP vaccine. Thanks to Petco Love for donating free FVRCP vaccines for National Pet Vaccination Month in March. We are proud to be a .
