Topic: Problem Solving Workshop: Waste Management and Environmental Audit in Daily Life

Our participants will take part in a hands-on workshop on spotting waste and environmental problems in their everyday surroundings and working out practical ways to solve them. It’s a useful step toward building their own Micro-Action Plans. 💚

🌍 Glimpses from the POP Mentorship Program 2026

Yesterday’s session was led by Ricardo Delgado Lander, Communications Specialist, Journalist, and POP Movement’s Youth Mentor, and Philo Magdalene, Researcher and POP Movement’s Communications Lead and Youth Mentor. 🎉

The session focused on storytelling and intentional communication, helping our participants learn to document and share stories in a sensitive and engaging way.

Participants explored one story from our book, Stories That Inspire: The People Behind the Protect Our Planet Movement, and Ricardo shared an audiovisual reportage on a local NGO’s work with children in a community in Venezuela, the Meraki Foundation, as a case study. 💚

🌍 Glimpses from the POP Mentorship Program 2026

Yesterday’s session on Introduction to Micro-Action Plan was led by Ms. Meenal Rawat, Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities and Education at Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, and a member of the Manav Rachna Centre for Peace & Sustainability (MRCPS). 🎉

She showed our participants how large sustainability goals can be broken into small, practical, achievable actions, so that individuals and communities can turn awareness into measurable impact. The key message: sustainability begins with individual action, but its effects can reach across borders. 💚

🌍 Glimpses from the POP Mentorship Program 2026

Our participants recently attended an engaging session on Understanding Climate Change & Corrective Actions, led by Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki, Founder of Energy Swaraj Foundation and Former Professor at IIT Bombay.

Prof. Solanki explained the challenges of climate change and stressed the importance of corrective action. Our participants left with a clearer sense of their own roles and responsibilities in responding to the climate crisis, and with more purpose and energy to act. 💚

Thank you, Prof. Solanki, for giving your time, knowledge, and inspiration to our young climate leaders. We hope this is the start of a meaningful association between POP Movement and Energy Swaraj Foundation, as we work together to engage and empower young people for climate action. 🌱

🌍 10th Student Colloquium | “Global Warming: What About Environmental Sciences?”

On October 7-8, 2026, students from around the world came together at CIIEMAD-IPN, Mexico City, and online on Zoom to present interdisciplinary projects on global warming. POP Movement is proud to be a partner in this initiative. 💚

Dr. Ash Pachauri, Co-Founder of POP Movement, joined the opening ceremony as Keynote Speaker.

Our POP family was well represented: Komal Mittal shared how POP is inspiring youth-led climate action; POP Architects and Eco Pioneers from the Manav Rachna International School presented the Regional POP India Festival 2026, and Stephanie Amisi Nehema spoke on making environmental solutions relevant to vulnerable communities. Young leaders from , , , and the also shared their work on climate leadership, resilience, and alternative energy.

Congratulations to every presenter. This is what youth-led climate action looks like.

Yesterday’s sessions gave our participants two perspectives: a first-hand story of grassroots leadership, and the tools to keep growing with POP. 🎉

Grassroots Initiatives Journey

Tsague Dongfack W***y Endelson, POP Movement’s Initiative Mentor and Country Representative for Cameroon, shared his journey with our participants. He spoke about how POP Movement supported his growth, from grassroots action to his education, and about how he started his work at the community level and the impact he is creating today. His story showed how local action can grow into lasting change. 💚

POP Academy & POPPix

Ivan Ransom, Sustainability Specialist, Biologist, and POP Movement’s Sustainability Ambassador and Mentor, introduced participants to POP Academy, our learning hub for mentors and young leaders, and POPPix, a multilingual AI voice companion that supports climate action around the clock. 🌱
