July 21 Level Up Speaker: Omar Youssef

This talks details the work that goes into starting development of your big FIRST title and the balance between the business and creative sidee.

Omar plans to follow this talk with a launch post-mortem at a future Level Up Tuesday.

A narrative designer who specializes in stories that linger, Omar has worked through the indie trenches on Star Scramble Crossing, Two Timin’ Towers, and RubySharks Mantra by taking charge and quickly solving problems.

He hosts charity Esports tournaments, balances gameplay systems, and has a mission to make narrative more accessible to juniors with the annual Unknown Cities Game Jam, which offers free tools to remove barriers.
