Bananas The Yellow Lion This page is to spread awareness on the beauty of adopting a shelter cat. Bananas was left in a Broo I was unsure because my heart was broken.

In the summer of 2012 our beloved Siamese cat Diesel passed away. A few weeks after her passing our cat sitter Bunny Hofberg (Frankie's Fund For Feline Care) asked if we would be willing to foster a cat that we had seen a month prior via facebook. He was put in a kill shelter by his previous owners because they had a baby. He was unneutered, matted and dirty, and in need of serious dental work. I

ran the idea past Justin and he immediately said yes! We went to meet him in a veterinarian office uptown. He walked into the room with so much to say. As we sat with him exchanging scents and rubs, Justin's face said it all. We ran home to get a carrier and Nanners has been ours ever since. It breaks my heart to think of where he could have ended up. It's like he has been with us forever.

Last Friday, a week shy of our 5 year anniversary, Bananas passed away. We are heartbroken. It is impossible to express the amount of love and joy he brought us, we couldn't have loved him more. He was brave, trusting, gentle, funny, and such a lover. He was a truly special soul, friend, and companion who will never be forgotten. We wish we found each other sooner but are forever grateful for the special time that we shared.😓 Frankie's Fund For Feline Care and Rescue Justin Ellis Puderbach Jaime Morsony ❤️❤️❤️
