Every week, an estimated 3,000 adolescent girls and young women aged 15–24 acquire HIV in sub-Saharan Africa.

Inequality, violence and barriers to healthcare can limit girls’ choices and put their futures at risk.

This , we’re spotlighting our partnership with Tiko, which puts girls at the center of the solutions designed to support them. From shaping services and messaging to rating and reviewing the care they receive, girls have a voice in how the model works and evolves.

Through our partnership, more than 572,000 girls accessed HIV services including testing, prevention and treatment.

Because girls deserve more than a say in their futures. They deserve the power to shape them.

Mental health care is HIV care.

This , we’re highlighting how our partners are bringing the two together, from digital services connecting people to counselling, to mental health support delivered in communities. Here’s what that looks like:

• We funded the rollout of an AI-powered app connecting people to HIV self-testing, PrEP, mental health counselling and LGBTQ+-friendly services.

• With Tiko, we helped integrate HIV and mental health services into a digital platform supporting adolescent girls’ and young women’s s*xual and reproductive health.

• With our funding, FAITH piloted community-based mental health support that reached over 1,000 female s*x workers in Nepal.

Titan was told he had six months to live. That was in 2005.

Today, he’s thriving and using his lived experience as a Black, gay man living with HIV to help change how HIV care is delivered.

As project manager on Transforming Together Through Trauma-Informed Care, a training curriculum that was developed through our partnership with UH Graduate College of Social Work, he’s creating spaces where people living with HIV feel safe, supported and understood.
