DIFFA funds organizations that support individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, food insecurities, and mental health challenges, while extending assistance to the unhoused and offering healthcare access for underserved communities across the nation. Since 1984, DIFFA has granted over $57 million to hundreds of organizations throughout the country that provide assistance to underserved communities impacte
d by HIV/AIDS, food and housing insecurities, access to healthcare, and mental health issue. Who we serve:
DIFFA serves a broad range of organizations and communities, including at-risk youth and minority populations, homeless individuals, and those suffering from mental health issues. The DIFFA grant philosophy is to address the most pressing community needs, closing the gap left by insufficient and declining government funding. What sets us apart
DIFFA is one of the few HIV/AIDS organizations that grants unrestricted funds to service agencies in our community, providing for flexible spending in direct care and education programs. A donation to DIFFA ensures that grant money goes to organizations where it can make the most impact. Our Grants Committee, along with The New York Community Trust, personally inspect service organizations, judge fiscal responsibility, and measure program effectiveness on behalf of our donors.
