Arts in Bushwick

Arts in Bushwick Arts in Bushwick has two core functions – producing neighborhood arts events, and facilitating community projects and dialogue.

Founded in the fall of 2007 by roughly fifteen local artists and community organizers, Arts in Bushwick culminated from the grassroots efforts of its founders in planning the 2007 Bushwick Open Studios festival. To the present, Arts In Bushwick continues to operate as an all-volunteer, non-hierarchical organization, and maintains a completely open structure, inviting all community members to bring

their ideas to the organization and to participate in producing its activities. Anyone in the community who is willing to volunteer their time is welcome to join with us and take on a leadership role. Dozens of community members volunteer their time as organizers for each of our festivals and year-round, and many many more pitch in during our events.

Educated Little Monsters classes re start next week and we are super excited as the last few years have been rough. But we are so filled with joy to start somewhere. Tuesdays Music making where they get to make their own songs record them in our youth home studio and get their music video shot. Followed by dance class.
Wednesdays will be art and dj classes.
Both days from 4pm-7pm
This is an all sliding scale fee to free program. Absolutely no child gets rejected for lack of funds under any circumstances.
So please just be honest when filling out form and we got you. You will get and email or phone call when you submit your form to get your little monster all set up.
