We had the best time at our Summer STEM & Innovation Camp! 💡

Over the past month, our middle + high school campers immersed themselves in the world of tech and AI. Across coding, robotics, game design, and digital media, they built the skills and confidence to explore future careers in STEM, with our high school students wrapping up the summer by presenting their capstone projects.

Too many young people still face barriers to STEM education. That's why we're creating programs that expand access to these career pathways while connecting students with mentors, peers, and New York's vibrant tech community.

Thank you to everyone who made this program such a success and to our incredible campers for bringing their curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm every day. See you next summer!

One more week of Civic Hall Summer Camp!

What an incredible summer it’s been across our middle + high school programs. Over the past few weeks, campers have explored tech, developed new skills, tackled hands-on projects, and learned alongside mentors and guest speakers from across the NY tech community.

Now, our high school students are heading into their final week, putting everything they’ve learned into practice as they prepare their capstone projects.

We can’t wait to see how they finish out the summer.

AI is rapidly changing how we learn and work. Civic Hall's Summer STEM & Innovation Camp is helping NYC students get hands-on with the tools driving that change.

By giving more young NYers access to AI tools, mentors, and hands-on learning, we're helping prepare them for a workforce where AI fluency will increasingly matter. For our high school cohort, AI is a core focus -- from prompt engineering and natural language processing (NLP) to no-code automation, AI-powered creation, all culminating in a capstone projects.

It has been an incredible first few weeks watching campers experiment + collaborate and we're excited to keep the momentum going as we help equip the next generation with the skills and confidence to succeed in the AI era.

The future of health starts with us, and it starts with AI.

Today, the inaugural Civic Health Forum convened at Civic Hall in Union Square, bringing together investors, AI leaders, healthcare providers, payors, policymakers, and founders around a shared challenge: How do we keep people healthy before they enter the healthcare system?

The conversation focused on upstream care—the difficult but essential work of preventing health challenges before they become healthcare interventions. Despite its potential to improve outcomes and reduce costs, upstream health innovation remains one of the most undercapitalized areas in healthcare.

Today was about changing that: connecting innovators, investors, and decision-makers to accelerate solutions that help people stay healthy in the first place.

The NYC tech community showed up in a big way at our Union Sq. space.

NY Tech Alliance event drew the organization's largest convening since Civic Hall opened in November 2023, with 300+ attendees filling the space with innovative discussions, product showcases, and a shared energy around shaping the future of tech.

From June 1-4, our Union Sq. hub will host a week of programming bringing together AI innovators, investors, founders, educators, workforce leaders, and emerging talent.

High school students: your summer in tech starts here.

Civic Hall’s Free Summer STEM & Innovation Camp is giving students a hands-on way to explore what’s next in tech.

This summer, students can join a full four-week program focused on coding, AI, robotics, game design, digital media and emerging technologies. Students will build real projects, develop new skills and work toward capstone projects, with the top five high school capstones each receiving a $1,000 scholarship!

The program also includes free meals, free transportation, access to job fairs and connections to Civic Hall’s broader innovation community.
