The future of health starts with us, and it starts with AI.

Today, the inaugural Civic Health Forum convened at Civic Hall in Union Square, bringing together investors, AI leaders, healthcare providers, payors, policymakers, and founders around a shared challenge: How do we keep people healthy before they enter the healthcare system?

The conversation focused on upstream care—the difficult but essential work of preventing health challenges before they become healthcare interventions. Despite its potential to improve outcomes and reduce costs, upstream health innovation remains one of the most undercapitalized areas in healthcare.

Today was about changing that: connecting innovators, investors, and decision-makers to accelerate solutions that help people stay healthy in the first place.

The NYC tech community showed up in a big way at our Union Sq. space.

NY Tech Alliance event drew the organization's largest convening since Civic Hall opened in November 2023, with 300+ attendees filling the space with innovative discussions, product showcases, and a shared energy around shaping the future of tech.

NYC Tech Week is coming to Civic Hall!

From June 1-4, our Union Sq. hub will host a week of programming bringing together AI innovators, investors, founders, educators, workforce leaders, and emerging talent.

Expect conversations on the future of cybersecurity, public AI infrastructure, venture capital, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies, alongside workshops, demos, and networking events.

High school students: your summer in tech starts here.

Civic Hall’s Free Summer STEM & Innovation Camp is giving students a hands-on way to explore what’s next in tech.

This summer, students can join a full four-week program focused on coding, AI, robotics, game design, digital media and emerging technologies. Students will build real projects, develop new skills and work toward capstone projects, with the top five high school capstones each receiving a $1,000 scholarship!

The program also includes free meals, free transportation, access to job fairs and connections to Civic Hall’s broader innovation community.

Civic Hall is launching Civic Health — a new initiative at the intersection of AI, investment, and preventive health innovation.

We are launching the Civic Hall Esports Exchange and Workforce Development Initiative – a 2026 program built at the intersection of gaming, skills-building, and global connection.

Esports is the entry point. The goal is to meet young people where they already are and introduce career pathways in STEM, IT, broadcasting, event production, and entrepreneurship.

Based out of our Union Square space, the program will connect participants in NYC with peers and mentors locally and in the UK via training, live competition, and ultimately, a Career Pathways Summit.
