The Thousand Turkey Challenge Help us help West Side Campaign Against Hunger provide 1,000 turkeys for Thanksgiving to low-income families! How do I get involved?

ATTEND The Thousand Turkey Challenge Kick-Off event on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 5:45 to 7:00 PM at West Side Campaign Against Hunger at 263 West 86th St. between Broadway and West End Avenue in the basement of the Church of St. Andrew.
• Learn more about the important work done by WSCAH
• Hear a presentation about hunger, Jewish values and the need for giving
• Sign-up to hand out flyers at

local grocery stores and apartment buildings to promote the event
• Enjoy refreshments for adults and children

2. GET THE WORD OUT to family and friends by distributing flyers and encouraging people to buy turkeys and bring them to WSCAH.

3. BUY a frozen turkey* at your local grocery store and bring it to WSCAH at the following dates and times: Wednesday Nov.16 8AM- 6:30 PM
Thursday Nov. 17 8AM- 6:30 PM
Friday Nov. 18 8AM- 6:30 PM
Monday Nov. 21 8AM-8 PM
Tuesday Nov. 22 8AM- 8 PM
*Small turkeys up to 12 lbs. and turkey breasts strongly preferred

4. SIGN-UP to work a shift to receive donated turkeys at WSCAH during one or more of the drop-off dates. To sign-up, contact Project Coordinator, Marissa Wikes at [email protected]

5. DONATE money to WSCAH. Make checks out to WSCAH and send to:
