The New School Community will not sit by calmly as
is dismantled and our colleagues quietly disappear. We call on the New School Board of Trustees to:

➡️ SUSPEND “realignment” measures including department/program closures + mergers

➡️ ADHERE to principles of shared governance

➡️ RESCIND all “voluntary separation package agreements”

➡️ REINSTATE Part-Time Faculty whose courses have been canceled due to restructuring

➡️ CAP salaries over $200,000

➡️ DISCLOSE all financial documents to The New School community that relate to restructuring

➡️ HOLD a public meeting with the entire university community

➡️ BARGAIN with your student, staff, and faculty unions, as well as with non-unionized employees, over appropriate remedies for the effects of leadership’s financial mismanagement.

Solidarity is the answer!

🎯 Tomorrow, Wed, March 4, Part-Time Faculty, Full-Time Faculty, students, and staff will hand deliver our collective letter against unilateral restructuring to New School President Joel Towers, to make our voices heard and escalate our campaign. The letter has over 1600 signatures, including Naomi Klein and other academic luminaries!

✉️The printed letter is HUGE! At least 50-100 people are needed to carry and deliver it!

🚀Gather at 2:45 pm on Wednesday at University Center (63 5th Ave), so we can march together to deliver the letter to the President’s office on 12th Street and 🗣️ DEMAND TO MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD! 📢
